Shaper Assistant (shaperassistant.com) Effective date: October 10, 2026
This policy explains what information Shaper Assistant collects, why, and who else sees it. The short version: we collect what we need to run your account and save your designs, we don't sell it, and you can delete it.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
Account information. When you sign up, our login provider (Clerk) collects your email address, your name if you give it, and, if you sign in with Google or another provider, the basic profile details that provider shares. We never see your password. When you create an account, we're sent a short email telling us your name (if you gave one), your email address, how you signed up and when. Resend, the service that also delivers messages from our Contact page, carries that email to us.
Your designs. The boards you design — dimensions, rocker, blank choices, names and notes — are stored so you can come back to them. On a free account, your designs and your display name are public: anyone using the Service can see them and make a copy. On a paid plan they are private unless you share them. Your email address is never shown publicly. Choose a display name you're comfortable having next to your designs.
Usage information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps. We use this to keep the Service running and to understand which features are used.
Payment information. If you buy a paid plan, our payment provider collects your card details. We never see or store your full card number; we receive only confirmation that you paid and the last four digits.
Cookies. We use cookies that keep you logged in and remember your settings. We don't use advertising cookies.
What we don't collect. We don't ask for or store your date of birth, government ID, or any health or financial details beyond payment.
3. Why we use it
- To run your account and save your designs.
- To take payment for paid plans.
- To fix problems and improve the Service.
- To email you about your account, important changes, or things you ask us about. We won't send marketing email unless you opt in, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
4. Who else sees it
We rely on a few services to run Shaper Assistant. Each one sees only what it needs:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the Service and its users.
5. How long we keep it
Your account and designs stay until you delete them or close your account. When you close your account we delete your designs and account record within 30 days, except for records we're required to keep for tax or legal reasons. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
6. Your choices
- See or correct your information: from your account settings, or email us.
- Export your designs: from the Service, where export is available, or email us.
- Delete your account: from your account settings, or email us, and we'll confirm when it's done.
- Email: unsubscribe from any marketing email with the link in the message. Account and legal notices are sent as long as you have an account.
California residents. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it (this policy), to request a copy, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising. To make a request, email support@shaperassistant.com. We don't currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there's no agreed standard for them.
7. Children
Shaper Assistant is not for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll remove it.
8. Security
Login is handled by Clerk, data is encrypted in transit, and our database is backed up automatically. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password or a sign-in provider you trust.
9. International visitors
Shaper Assistant is operated from the United States and your information is stored there. If you use it from elsewhere, you're agreeing to that transfer.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. If the changes are meaningful we'll post a notice in the Service or email you before they take effect. The effective date at the top always tells you when it last changed.
